What Is Skylab?

Mission Statement

Skylab is a gathering place for technologists, artists, and other creative people. It’s intended as a meeting-place for the exchange of information, a collection of collaboration tools and resources, and a hub for other community activities.

In order to ensure that we can continue to provide this resource for everyone, we have established a set of guidelines for acceptable uses of skylab.org.

History

We’ve been around since 1996, and have moved around quite a lot, both in terms of physical hardware platform and geographical location. There’s a more-detailed history available for those who are interested in that kind of thing.
