VIM for Windows...

Overview:
Vim is a freeware editor based on vi and it stands for vi-iMproved. You should go to www.vim.org to learn more about it.

Downloads:
Since vim's ftp server was down while I was writing this page, I have a link to the files you need to run vim.

gvim57.zip gvim for Windows 9x
vim57rt.zip runtime library for vim for Windows 9x

After you get these two files, your going to want to unzip these files in the same place.

Then run the install file to set up vim and add a quick link to your right mouse button menu if you want etc.. You can also have text highlighting which is very nice for vhdl, you can see which words are key words etc...

There will be a tutor diectory in the main vim directory that the zip file creates. Run the tutorial and you will learn all the basics to vim and vi!!
