Welcome to my site. It’s all about me. Me, me, me!! Well, it’s not exactly about just me, but why have a web site unless you have some kind of ego? Imagine a 30-year old white male, sitting with a notebook computer on his lap typing out a completely abstract stream-of-consciousness paragraph to welcome visitors to my website. It’s crazy!

All that aside, I hope that you find some remote value in this site, and will make it a place to which you return. I have broken the site up into 6 sections. This is the first section.

The second section, Philosophy, is a section by which you will gain a deeper understanding of my personal philosophy. Life, work, art, tipping and other ideas will be addressed on a regular basis

Section three, Photography, ties into my what is my best and most under-utilized talent. This section is about my current and previous work, what I’m thinking about photography right now, and what it is that I’d like to do in the future.

My Biography makes up section four. Is it possible to have a biography after only thirty years on the planet? I routinely make fun of “Biography” on A&E when they profile people under the age of 30. Perhaps I should be on TV. Cable access is available.

Random thoughts that don’t fit into any other category are in my Random section. I haven’t quite thought it through.

Last, but certainly not least, is my weblog. “Blogging” as it’s called lately is something that I did a version of when I was in college down at the University of Oregon. Back then, I built a website called Generic Mail that I would update every few days. It reflected what I was studying at the time, what I was working on photographically, what I was thinking and how I was feeling.

‘Blogs are automated in a way that I couldn’t have dreamed in the old days, so it makes for easy updating. I’ve been updating this new version of Generic Mail since September, but I haven’t publicized it because I aim to be honest in everything that I write there. In theory, honesty is highly respected. In practice it’s reviled. “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” I promise to never to lie in my ‘blog.
